If you follow us on Facebook and Twitter, you’ll know that we recently signed on the internationally popular Taiwanese teahouse chain Chatime, which has several locations in Ontario. There’s just something about a cold bubble tea (with tapioca, of course) that screams summer – and summer is exactly what we need right now.
If you’re not a fan of bubble tea (you’re crazy) there are plenty of other drinks to choose from, including a variety of juices, health drinks, and smoothies. But honestly, try their world famous milk tea – you won’t be disappointed!
You also have the chance to personalize your drinks in terms of how much ice you want and how sweet you want it to be. Pro tip: if you’re going for your first ever Chatime experience, then just stick to normal levels of ice and sugar. The toppings are our favourite part of the drink, and you have so many to choose from: pearls (tapioca balls, but pearls sound way fancier), coconut jelly, grass jelly, red bean, aloe vera, and so much more.
We’re a little boring and our favourite drink just so happens to be the classic and most popular drink on the menu: the Chatime Pearl Milk Tea with normal ice and sugar. SO GOOD. Another fan favourite is the Chatime Roasted Milk Tea which we’re going to have to try on our next visit, which will likely be right after writing this post.
Oh, and they also serve donuts. Bubble tea and donuts? Match made in heaven.
There are four Chatime locations in Ontario: Markham, North York, Richmond Hill and Downtown Toronto.

PS before adding Vicinity Chatime used to have a stamp card program, so if you take in your old card they’ll turn the stamps into Vicinity Rewards points for you. Bonus!

What is the difference between Chatime Rewards Points and Chatime Lifetime Points?
I understand that every drink you buy is 1 point and if you get 10 Rewards Points you get a complimentary regular drink. What if you have say for example 90 chatime rewards points and 90 lifetime points, and you wish to redeem 10 points for a drink, will your life time points drop to 80 as well as chatime rewards points? or will my Chatime rewards points drop 80 and my lifetime points stay at 90?
Kerstan: Your lifetime points are unchanging and reflect the entirety of the points you’ve ever collected. So in the case you mention, the right scenario is the last one – your lifetime points would still say 90.
I only get points from the Scarborough location but not downtown. Is the card valid for only one location?

I have used my point card at chatime almost everyweek now I think I have around 30 points up and today I just have a registered in your website but, the total points that I have earned did not show up the balance is still 0. How can I get a points transfer ?

When you tap your card let them know you have a reward. It will also shop up on their end once your tap is read by our software. Enjoy the free drink! 🙂

I would like to register online for Chatime membership program, but it asks membership number and verification number. I don’t know what type of number I have on my card and when I fill the field for membership number it says wrong number, and without that it does not let me register.
