Vicinity Holiday Gift Guide: Ontario and the East Coast

Have you finished your Christmas shopping yet? No? Well, since we have so many great merchants in the Vicinity network, we figured we’d tell you how you can a) shop local, b) find awesome gifts and c) get rewarded all at the same time.

A few weeks ago we put together a curated list of goodies you can find at your local Vicinity merchants if you live in Calgary or Vancouver. This week, it’s all about the East Coast and Ontario! So get your wallets out, and don’t forget your Vicinity card!

Friends in Ontario, here’s where you should do your shopping:

Do you know someone who deserves a little R&R? Whether it’s your mom, sister, wife or girlfriend – we’re confident there’s at least one person on your list that could do with a nice spa day or at least a mani/pedi. Check out Viola’s Spa (Kingston), Zen Spa (Toronto), Aria Day Spa (Brampton), Get Gelled (Toronto), Halo Hair Studio & Spa (Vaughan) and many others.

Soaps and lotions also make great gifts, especially if you have an office Secret Santa or even for your neighbour. We’re big fans of Your Feel Good Soap Company over on Queen Street West (Toronto).

The athlete or gym rat in your life might enjoy some classes at Aum Centre Yoga (Toronto), Spin Kicks Cycle and Fitness (Vaughan), or Nubodies Fitness (Peterborough).  Warning: we don’t recommend giving these as gifts to anyone who hasn’t expressed any interest in fitness or working out!

Other gift suggestions: jewelry from Sai Vachan Creations (Brampton), books from Recycled Reading (Milton), a pair of shoes from Felicity & Fritz (Kingston), house plants or beautiful centrepieces from Harper’s Garden Centre (Hamilton) and cool office supplies from Neat Space Edited (Toronto).

Holiday treats also make good gifts! We recently published a list of where to get the best holiday treats in your neighbourhood, and there’s quite a few Toronto merchants.

East Coasters, worry less – here’s a list just for you:

This might sound cliché but spending quality time with a loved one is often a great gift. Why not take someone on your list out for coffee or a meal at a local Vicinity-merchant? There’s Jitter Bean Cafe (Moncton, NB), Fries & Company (Halifax, NS),

There’s at least one comic book lover on your list and lucky for them, because we’ve got plenty of merchants. There are two locations of The Comic Hunter on the East Coast – one in Moncton, NB and the other in Charlottetown, PEI.

Hope we helped you out with your shopping this year! Happy shopping!
