The Amazing Escape – How Merchants Can Promote

Vicinity is proud to announce that we’re running a summer contest! The Amazing Escape contest is a great way to incentivize customers to sign up for Vicinity and start earning rewards at your stores. From August 4th to September 14th, each Vicinity transaction represents one entry into the sweepstakes for a trip for 2 to anywhere in Canada. And the best part? It’s totally free for merchants to participate!

As exciting as this is for your loyal customers, this promotion will also increase foot traffic to your store and help you get closer with your customers. So what is the best way to activate this in your store?

Signage

We’re providing you with a full kit of signage for your store. All you have to do is put it up the marketing materials (flyer, bill folds) and inform your staff members that this promotion is going on. If a customer hasn’t signed up for Vicinity yet, now is the perfect time to engage them and start the conversation. We will also be sending you some cool Vicinity shades to give away!

Use Vicinity

Now would be a great time to use some of Vicinity’s services to reach out to your customer base to let them know about this promotion. Use our SMS messaging service to let them know that with every transaction they get an entry into the sweepstakes (the first 100 messages are free!) or send out targeted e-blasts to your customer lists using our email system (you can send unlimited emails to all of your clients).

Get Social!

Here’s the biggest one. Since everyone and their dog is on social media these days, you can spread the word that by doing something as simple as buying a car wash, a cupcake, or a meal, they can win a trip to anywhere in Canada! Promote the giveaway on Facebook and Twitter to encourage customers to come in for their chance to WIN!

As always, the easiest thing you can do is to keep your staff notified of these special offers so that they can mention them to the customer at the point of sale.
